About Our Client

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our logistics company, providing legal support across commercial operations. The role will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, advising on regulatory compliance, and supporting business teams in day-to-day commercial matters.

Job Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g., service contracts, supplier agreements, customer contracts, logistics and transportation arrangements).
  • Provide legal advice to business units on commercial transactions, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Support cross-border transactions and international logistics operations.
  • Support sales and operations teams with legal input on customer proposals and tenders.
  • Advise on compliance with logistics, trade, and transportation regulations.
  • Monitor changes in laws affecting the logistics industry and update management accordingly.
  • Support internal compliance programs, including anti-bribery, competition law, and data protection.
  • Handle pre-litigation matters, disputes with customers, suppliers, or partners.
  • Work with external counsel when necessary.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks in commercial activities.



The Successful Applicant

  • Law degree from a common law jurisdiction or PRC with admission to practice in a recognized jurisdiction.
  • 3+ PQE, ideally in-house or with a law firm specializing in commercial or logistics-related work
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willing to travel occasionaly
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
