Job Description

As a Research Analyst covering ANZ market, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct in-depth research on publicly listed companies in Australia and New Zealand, with occasional coverage of private market transactions and other regional opportunities.
  • Develop actionable investment ideas through initial due diligence, crafting detailed question frameworks, and leading expert interviews to deepen subject matter understanding.
  • Facilitate insightful conversations with industry professionals to extract valuable, non-consensus perspectives.
  • Present research findings to clients, build strong relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to expand reach and influence.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior industry executives, perform deep dives into sectors and companies, and build a robust pipeline of research content.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Analyst in ANZ Equity Research should have:

  • 2 to 6 years of experience in equity research focused on Australian/New Zealand markets, or exposure to private equity deal flow through roles in investment banking, asset management, consulting, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform fundamental, bottom-up research.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to support effective engagement with industry experts.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams to achieve outcomes.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other Asian languages is a plus but not required.
  • Sector coverage is flexible and will be aligned with the candidate's background and expertise.
