We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Data Platform Manager / Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in modern data architecture, strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, and a proven track record in data lake design, data migration, and vendor management.

Job Description

  • Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures using Microsoft Fabric and other modern data technologies.
  • Lead data lake implementation and data migration projects across multiple environments.
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and configuration standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow across platforms.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee project management activities including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
  • Provide monthly updates and reporting on platform performance and data usage.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Platform Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (mandatory).
  • Expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Lake, SQL, and data pipeline engineering.
  • Experience in data migration projects and cloud-based data solutions.
  • Ability to create and interpret architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management and data engineering best practices.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience in vendor management and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
