We are seeking a Temporary Assistant Executive Manager/Officer (System/Network Administration) to join the Technology Department within the public sector in Hong Kong. This role requires expertise in managing system and network administration tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Our client is a part of the public sector operating in Hong Kong. As a mid-sized organization, it focuses on delivering essential services through technological advancements and operational excellence.

Job Description

  • Install and configure application servers for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with vendors on infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Maintain and administer MS Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Cisco.
  • Firewall, Barracuda Anti-Spam Firewall, PCs, and network equipment.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user manuals.
  • Provide helpdesk support, technical assistance, and user training.

The Successful Applicant

  • High Diploma(HKQF Level 4) or Bachelor's Degree (HKQF Level 5) in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in server, network, and firewall configuration.
  • Strong technical background in enterprise IT systems (Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, MS Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality IT projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Relevant IT certifications and knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Copilot) is an advantage.
