Job Description

Strategic Pricing & Trade Lane Management

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for Non-Trans-Pacific trade lanes.
  • Collaborate with HQ pricing team and Trade Managers to ensure alignment and competitiveness.
  • Monitor market trends, freight movements, and competitor pricing to make proactive adjustments.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on pricing, margin control, and market opportunities.



Carrier & Vendor Negotiation

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and vendors.
  • Negotiate rates and space allocations to secure competitive pricing and service reliability.
  • Escalate key issues with carriers and drive improved support for major accounts.



Pricing Operations & Analysis

  • Maintain accurate pricing data and rate sheets in the system.
  • Ensure cost structure accuracy and compliance in contracts.
  • Optimize pricing workflows to reduce turnaround time and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly pricing performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze profitability, discount structures, win/loss data, and market share.



Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Booking, Customer Service, and Sales teams to ensure space availability and pricing compliance.
  • Support related departments in resolving pricing-related issues.



Leadership (for Manager-level roles)

  • Allocate workloads, conduct performance reviews, and coach team members.
  • Standardize pricing processes and ensure data accuracy and operational discipline.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in ocean freight pricing, procurement, or trade lane management; experience in Non-TP trade lanes is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of global ocean freight markets, carrier negotiation, and RFQ/RFP processes.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and pricing systems; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
    • Strong communication and coordination abilities across regions.
  • Fluent in Mandarin & English; Cantonese or other Asian languages is an advantage
