Our client is an international financial services group with business across the globe. The are hiring an experienced Business Data Analyst who is strong in user communication, business partnering, data management, analytics and visualization.

Job Description

Strategic Contribution

  • Design and present data-driven solutions to support product development and enhancements.
  • Engage with clients to understand requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.



Operational Execution

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide expertise.
  • Gather and document system enhancement needs, ensuring data mapping documentation is accurate.
  • Implement the data and analytics roadmap, optimizing current capabilities and introducing new ones.
  • Perform complex analyses to deliver actionable insights.
  • Track and report time and task progress accurately.
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in large datasets.
  • Recommend practical short-, medium-, and long-term solutions.
  • Stay current with best practices in analytics and visualization tools.



Governance & Risk

  • Coordinate audit-related reporting tasks.
  • Maintain documentation on processes, policies, configurations, and user guides.

The Successful Applicant

Minimum 5 years in data analytics or reporting within IT operations.

Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx for data preparation and workflow automation.

Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is highly preferred.

Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SSIS/SSRS, and related tools.

Skilled in data extraction, profiling, and combining datasets for analysis.

Ability to design and develop dashboards and reports.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.

Knowledge of predictive modeling and data mining techniques.

Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
