Our client is a well-known Investment Bank with global presence. Currently, they are hiring for a Client Risk Analyst to join their private banking division as the first line of defence, ensuring strong risk controls and compliance.

Job Description

  • Manage and assess client account activity, onboarding, and monitoring.
  • Independently handle Vulnerable Client Assessments.
  • Review client net worth throughout their lifecycle.
  • Conduct risk reviews with attention to detail and proper documentation.
  • Communicate with frontline teams, compliance, and other departments.
  • Analyze data trends and risk indicators for reporting and decision-making.
  • Help improve risk procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare risk reports, escalate issues, and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Share knowledge and assist with training on risk controls and regulations.
  • Support ad hoc projects and process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience verifying net worth and financial profiles.
  • Knowledge of vulnerable client assessment and related regulations.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel, Python, and Copilot for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with private wealth products (e.g., structured products, funds).
  • Basic understanding of SFC, HKMA, MAS regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Prior experience in risk/control roles or financial institutions preferred.
