This client is the Hong Kong branch of a globally recognized logistics and supply chain solutions provider. With a strong presence in the region, the Hong Kong office plays a critical role in managing air freight, ocean freight, and integrated logistics services across Greater China and Asia Pacific.

The Hong Kong operations oversee a wide range of functions including customer service, procurement, and gateway operations (warehouse and air cargo handling). The company is known for its robust infrastructure, digital innovation, and commitment to end-to-end supply chain visibility and efficiency.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage the air freight product across Hong Kong and South China, ensuring operational excellence and commercial success.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow air freight volumes and revenue in alignment with regional goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, airlines, and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive performance improvements across service delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer service, sales, operations, procurement, warehousing to deliver integrated logistics solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Business travel to South China occasionally

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in air freight operations and/or commercial roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of the South China and Hong Kong logistics market.
  • Proven track record in business development and team management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
